Do you know what goodness is? It's God's favor. In (Psalm 23:6) "Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life..." David was saying, "Favor follows me everywhere I go." David knew he had a Christian advantage of God's favor. He knew he could expect preferential treatment. He knew God would assist him. David had God's favor mentality. Have you ever read the book of Psalms? All through the Psalms, David constantly talks about God's favor.

You see, something is always going to follow you throughout your life. If you constantly go around thinking, "Nothing good ever happens to me. I never get any breaks." Then all you’re going to have defeat, mediocrity, and negativity following you around. But, if you switch over into a (favor) mentality and say, "God's favor gives me a Christian advantage. God's favor is bringing success my way. God's favor is making my crooked places straight..." then you’ll have many blessings chasing you down! You'll walk in promotion! You'll experience increase! You will be destined for success many ways. If you choose to have a favor mentality today you can enjoy the goodness and mercy that God has stored up for you!

Once your hope and prayers are set on God's favor in your life, you can look forward to more and more of God's favor. God wants to pour out His goodness and grace upon you. He wants to help you get ahead in this life. He wants to lead you to the right decision. He wants to lead you to the right job. He wants to lead you to the right relationship. But here's the key: we have to always be on the lookout for more of God's favor.

This tells me that we can never get stagnant. We should never think that we can't rise any higher. God truly wants to do more for you than you can possibly ask or even think. Ephesians tells us, He wants to show us the immeasurable, limitless, surpassing greatness of His free favor. In other words, God wants to go far and above what we're used to! He truly wants to show you favor in unusual and extraordinary ways. This is His Christian gift to each of us.

If you seek good health, declare that God is your Healer and pray for God's favor that you will live strong and healthy all the days of your life. If you need provision for something, declare that God is your provider and pray for God's favor that you He will provide for you. Pray for God's favor for protection over your family. Speak God's favor over your job.

So start setting your hopes higher today, and increase your expectations of what God's favor will do in your life. As you open your heart and mind and pray to Him for His unlimited favor, you will start to experience the abundance He has in store for you! Then decide and declare in your heart and your mind that today will be your best day to the Glory of God, and enjoy the Christian gift of God's favor!
